Research Interests: Parent-Child Relationships, Child developmental/behavioral issues, family dynamics

Current Research: Child Temperament and Household Responsibilities. I am also working on three projects with faculty this semester such as the Rural Poverty and Community Development project and Rural Men in Direct Care Work with Dr. Rayna Sage and in the Dr. Maureen Schmiter-Edgecombe’s Aging and Memory lab regarding Brain Health.

 Plans for the Future: I plan to attend a Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program and continue research regarding parent-child relationships and child behavioral and developmental issues.

 Experience and development as a McNair Scholar: The McNair Scholars Program has taught me discipline and commitment. I have had the opportunity to explore my research interests, conduct my own research study, work closely with faculty members, present at conferences, engage in graduate school preparation workshops, and also raise my confidence!
